Dive Crew
At Sipadan Scuba we have a team of some of the highest qualified, most experienced PADI instructors & divemasters supported by crew of boatmen, compressor operators, technician and office & admin staff. While an operation like Sipadan Scuba could not function without it's support staff we can only introduce some of our key dive crew on this site:
Jerry Reichart:  One of the founders of Sipadan Scuba Jerry has been in Borneo for 15 years. Jerry is a PADI Master Instructor with well over 5000 dives logged over the last 20 years. Having left his native Austria in the early 1990's after gaining a university degree in engineering he has been diving all over the world. Jerry is specialized in cave dives to the "Turtle Tomb", is an instructor for 20+ specialty courses, loves deep dives and in his sparetime takes his children out for bubblemaker programmes.
Jefrey:  also known as the underwater jedi nobody knows how old Jefrey exactly is but he is certainly one of the best divemasters in Malaysia. Nothing seems to elude his watchful eyes, whether on the boat or underwater. Jefrey is the methusalem at Sipadan Scuba having stopped actually logging dives at 10000. His love for the ocean, excitement of seeing something special, or knowledge of the local reefs and it's inhabitants are second to none. Jefrey can often be heard underwater - singing his favorite tunes, and is always ready for a live performance of the Sipadan Song!
Richard Mei:  being a PADI Gold-rated Course Director for well over 10 years Richard is the most experienced, active course director in Malaysia. He has successfully coached and certified well over 100 IDC candidates and conducted hundreds of instructor career programmes such as EFR Instructor, Specialty instructor, MSDT and IDC Staff Instructor at some of the world's most spectacular dive sites such as Sipadan, Mabul, Tioman, etc. Being a course director since 1997 he has logged thousands of dives and is also the first DSAT Tec Deep Instructor Trainer in Malaysia and Singapore.
Cedric Verdier:  Being a diving instructor for 17 years, Cedric traines dving Instructors. As an PADI Course Director and Instructor Trainer or Instructor Examiner for most of the dive training agencies, he has trained more than 1500 Scuba Diving Instructors all over Europe, the Middle-East and Asia. When he is not teaching, most of his time is dedicated to Technical Diving. Mainly interested in deep wrecks, he was lucky enough to be the first Technical Diver to explore many of the deep war wrecks from WW2 and holds the record for the deepest cave dive in Asia.
