Emergency First Response Instructor
The Emergency First Response Instructor Course provides qualified individuals with the additional training necessary to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid) and Care for Children courses. This course builds on the instructor candidates’ skills as primary and secondary care providers and focuses on developing their instructional abilities. Through independent study, classroom sessions and practice teaching assignments, instructor candidates learn to conduct the Emergency First Response programs.
To enroll in an Emergency First Response Instructor Course, an individual must be 18 yrs old and have completed a sanctioned course in adult and child/infant CPR (primary care) and basic first aid (secondary care).
The Emergency First Response Instructor Course goals are:
Understanding of the program structure, requirements and procedures.
Familiarization with the program philosophy to teach courses free of stress, performance-based and learner-centered.
Refine the candidates’ primary care, secondary care and Care for Children skills to a role-model level.
Provide practical suggestions for organizing and marketing Emergency First Response courses.
Encourage instructor candidates to be active and to use their skills to train others in the community.
Where can I go from here?
Being a Emergency First Response Instructor is a prerequisite to become a PADI Instructor. Thus the EFR Instructor course can be taken alone or as part of our PADI Go Pro IDC Combo package. You may book the Emergency First Response Instructor course online now
